Understanding Nature by Doug

Nature can be looked at in different ways. Rainbows can bring you dreams of a pot of gold. We see them many times and make a wish or two.

Than we have the sky changing as the sun comes up in the early morning as we drink our first cup of coffee. Running for a camera as we know it won't last.

Lets not forget the midnight geese flying past a blue sky with the moon shinning through the geese as they journey on.

And last on our list would be the nasty storm blowing in at night that lets you hope the big tree out front will stay in place.

Bugs of interest and indangered

Today's subject is one most of us don't enjoy. But these little guys are so endangered that as a little boy we seen them in our garden all the time. But were told if anyone killed them it was a $25.00 fine. They are known as Preymantis ( not sure if spilled right ) and they were the bug eaters that helped get the bad bugs. Now years later I see them on my back screen door and still leave them be.

So I decided to take these pictures so you can see what they look like and maybe let them wonder in your garden if you see them. Not every bug it a pest to human's, but some do us good by helping destroy the bad guys. I have other bug photo's but for now enjoy these few. Thanks
Doug the Photo Bug:

Anyone interested ,  this one was taken on glass so I could get the reflection of three shadows going after each other. I'm glad I have so much time on my hands to do this. Maybe to much time? You think.

Love the Grandchildren

As a Photographer and PaPa you never take enough pictures of the grandchildren. Seeing them grow up and start school and being there the first day on the bus is PRICELESS , so this brings back the years my daughter waited for the bus and dad was there to put her on because mom was at Childrens Hospital in Philly taking care of Doug Jr. , so I am thankful to enjoy the moment.

Devon is a great mom and babysitter as she watches her own and two or three more children during the day. And you know for sure if Devon had a farm or ranch that her house would be full of love and children and many pets to enjoy. So thanks again for viewing my blog and show others to enjoy ----- Abby - Rose Freelance Photography.

Families make the best Photo's

Families make the best photo's ever. I think my best models are family and pets. Than I also enjoy getting photo's from family that gives me a chance to make a collage out of them. Children and outdoors can show enjoyment and how fast they are growing up and enjoying life.
Never forget where you came from and always remember where you plan to go. Ever if its only a dream or a plan. Make it work. I myself
am still planning for a better me even if my age is catching up to me. So' enjoy life to the fullest.

Black and White Photography in Depth

Gallery Art Photography is usually done in black and white with a beautiful white mat board and black custom frame.
Subjects can range from a moon landing to the love birds on a roof with snow. And lets not forget the seashore of many subjects. As a photographer I try to see color in all forms to better my gallery to give others a choice of many fields to choose from. This is Black and White Photography in depth that I plan to show you more of in coming shows. Enjoy and pass my blog to others to enjoy.

Color's Around Us

Only in the plant world or the make believe world of egg color's can we see the beauty of two subjects so dear to our hearts. We make displays of holiday egg's and enjoy a fresh batch of hand pick flowers from a garden with so much color. This may seem like a off beat subject for photography, but seeing color up close is like digging into a good meal and later talking about it. Sounds crazy but what we eat we hope we can see it before we eat it. So by looking at the amazing color's we see everyday is why I choose to take a picture of the outstanding world of color. Enjoy , and I promise a Black and White story to follow this one, Doug
